Conviction

Isaiah 5:20-21

Conviction is the work of the Holy Spirit where a person is able to see himself as God sees him.

Conviction of sin brings man to the cross and shows the need for forgiveness.  It is also a conscience act of knowing your in a battle.

The word convict is a translation of the Greek word elencho, which means “to convince someone of the truth; to reprove; to accuse, refute, or cross-examine a witness.” The Holy Spirit acts as a prosecuting attorney who exposes evil, reproves evildoers, and convinces people that they need a Savior.

The phrase the battle is not mine it’s the Lords. After accepting Jesus Christ everything that comes our way good and bad is’s the Lord.

As soon as we can get this embedded in our minds we won’t get exhausted by fighting battles that  are not ours to fight.

When the Holy Spirit starts to manifesting in you  Gods divine will, only then we will  gravitate you in the position towards Jesus Christ.

It’s the spiritual things of God that will keep you from falling.

However your flesh will gravitate you out of Gods will to doing your own.

It’s between your spirit and God and has nothing to do  with your flesh. According to what exists in the physical as it may be seem in the physical and perceived by the Spirit of God.

But once you gravitate to the Spirit every storm every trail will try to hit you from all aresas. The devil don’t want to see you free.

When you move toward God by the obedience of the Word. You will feel the attractment  of the Father as the Holy Spirit drives you as you sit in the fro t sea. Allowing Him drive you back in the arms of God.

The Holy Dpirit moves and place you in the person of Jesus Christ person,.

You need a Learners permit, given by the Holy Spirit who directs you I. Truth. He moved you toward by influence by a gravitational force.

If you gravitate toward  God, Gid will not only gravitate around you but he will gravitate in you.

You naturally gravitate toward people if you share the love of God. Love has a pulling when shared. It pulls people until you have a longing for the thing your gravitating for.  People tend to gravitate Towards the most outgoing person.

Romans 8:26 New International Version

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. The Spirit groans because Conviction is physical because you actually feel the soul who crieds out to God  in your behalf for forgiveness.

You will be able to feel an  overwhelming joy or it can be similar to when we feel the presence of the Lord upon us.Spirit knows and feels totally defiled. Unable to serve himself convicted of the knowledge of sin cries out for help.

Matthew 26:41 King

You will be able to feel an  overwhelming joy or it can be similar to when we feel the presence of the Lord upon us.You may  never know what your Spirit is saying to God which makers it relational and it personal .

Conviction Christian

conviction of sin is not merely knowledge of right and wrong; it is not an assent to Scripture’s teaching about sin. Many people read the Bible and are fully aware that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23)

. They may know that “no immoral, impure or greedy person . . . has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God” (Ephesians 5:5). They may even agree that “the wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God” (Psalm 9:17). Yet, for all their knowledge, they continue to live in sin. They understand the consequences, but they’re far from being convicted of their sins.

The truth is, if we experience nothing more than a pang of conscience, anxiety at the thought of judgment, or an academic awareness of hell, then we have never truly known the conviction of sin. Resl conviction, the kind the Bible speaks of?

Conviction in the believer brings an awareness of sin and results in repentance,   It is the act or process of convincing,”

I know your saying preacher how can you say this. I am glad you ask, if the Holy Spirit is not in you to direct you in truth then who are you being directed by if not by God.

But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.

Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.confession an cleansing.conviction is produced by the Holy Spirit.

Hebrews 12:6-11 New King James For whom the Lord loves He chastens. And scourges every son whom He receives.

If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?

(John 16:8)it is s conscience acts of the flesh. It is truly amazing how the Spirit desires to be saved

Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid themrespect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?

Conviction for those in flesh

The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit will convict the world of sin (John 16:8). To help us understand what the conviction of sin is, we can look at what it is not. First, it is not simply a guilty conscience or even shame over sin. Such feelings are naturally experienced by almost everyone. But this is not true conviction of sin.

Conviction of sin is not a sense of trepidation or a foreboding of divine punishment. These feelings, too, are commonly experienced in the hearts and minds of sinners. But, again, true conviction of sin is something different.

John 16:8).  Conviction functions differently for the Christian and non-christian.The flesh

Yet the flesh longing for everything the flesh desire is to destroy the spirit.

If the Holy Spirit is not in you to direct you and convict you. There is no doubt you are not saved.

If there is no feeling of being convicted  you are not saved. ‘

Whichever you pour into the most that’s who wins the battle. If you pour into the flesh more than you pour into the Spirit the flesh will win.

Let me over to my right over here who ever you feed the most is who wins the battle . In other words who ever you toot your horn for the most that’s who gone to win the battle.

Conviction those in Spirit

Whatever you presute and consume the most that’s who will win. When the flesh tells the flesh no then both Spirit and flesh are in a battle .Why give in to the battle when your still fighting in a war.

In order to bind our fleshly thoughts, feelings and confusion when hearing directions in our mind; we must retrieve our strength from the Christ who won the battle before it ever begins

Come on somebody to define yourself you must first find yourself. To find yourself you must loose yourself from the one who found you in your worldly estate. When your running this reve.

There is no effectiveness if your not affective in this relationship of ours. need to define the difference between Holy Spirit conviction and condemnation which comes from the enemy or our flesh. If you search inside yourself, you can feel your spirit man.

A new Christian  emerges from the flesh the Word of the Lird came to me saying when you get batptuze you wil enrage from the water with an inward difference

Matthew 18:18  King James Bible Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

You can actually feel conviction physical sense

everything physically in a manner relating to the body as opposed to the mind.physically demanding .

in a way that relates to the real world and things perceived through the senses as opposed to the mind

The mysterious as it may be or sound, the flesh will never convict the Spirit it’s the spirit that convicts the flesh,

The amazing thing about the flesh and the spirit both are warring contrary to each other figh

It's not physically possible because  in a way that involves rough body contact or strenuous physical activity:a physically abusive spouse;a physically demanding sport.

In a way that relates to the real world and things perceived through the senses opposed to the mind.

Non Christian

For the non-christian, conviction reveals sinfulness, guilt and brings fear of God's righteous judgement.

Matthew 6:24 King James Bible No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

As a new Christian I could actually se my skin and spirit man fighting. My flesh would be popping.

Actually seen my skin jumping and the fight was in. I don’t have to tell you who won. I am a born again. Believer.

The fight is on.  Matthew 26:41), where Jesus tells his disciples: “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

weariness or other physical weakness,

Wow it’s amazing. However who wins at the end is who we will serve.

Conviction brings about great sorrow and distress.

It’s condition is of deep suffering from misfortune, affliction, or grief. ruinous trouble : calamity, affliction. economic woes.

It is the recognition of what one has knowledge of.

It is for the mature believer.

Babies cannot grasp not understand because there only able to drink the sincere milk of the Word.

Not able to digest the meat of the Word of God.

God has called believers out of the world and into a personal and corporate purity in the midst of sinful cultures.

conviction we mean convictions or beliefs derived and based on a commitment to Jesus. It is the mature believer who feels what the Lord is saying.

Biblical separation is usually considered in two areas: personal and ecclesiastical.

Personal separation involves an individual’s commitment to a godly standard of behavior. Daniel practiced personal separatism when he “resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine” (Daniel 1:8). His was a biblical separatism because his standard was based on God’s revelation in the Mosaic law.

As God’s Holy Word, it is the absolute index for the whole of our lives—faith and practice.

world of sin (John 16:8). To help us understand what the conviction of sin is, we can look at what it is not.

First, it is not simply a guilty conscience or even shame over sin. Such feelings are naturally experienced by those who have reach maturity.

Babies do not feelalmost everyone. But this is not true conviction of sin.

Second, conviction of sin is not a sense of trepidation or a foreboding of divine punishment. These feelings, too, are commonly experienced in the hearts and minds of sinners. But, again, true conviction of sin is something different.

Third, conviction of sin is not merely knowledge of right and wrong; it is not an assent to Scripture’s teaching about sin. Many people read the Bible and are fully aware that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). They may know that “no immoral, impure or greedy person has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God” (Ephesians 5:5).

So, what is real conviction, the kind the Bible speaks of? The word convict is a translation of the Greek word elencho, which means “to convince someone of the truth; to reprove; to accuse, refute, or cross-examine a witness.”

The Holy Spirit acts as a prosecuting attorney who exposes evil, reproves evildoers, and convinces people that they need a Savior.

To be convicted is to feel the sheer loathsomeness of sin. This happens when we’ve seen God’s beauty, His purity and holiness, and when we recognize that sin cannot dwell with Him (Psalm 5:4).

When Isaiah stood in the presence of God, he was immediately overwhelmed by his own sinfulness: “Woe to me! . . . I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty” (Isaiah 6:5).

To be convicted is to experience an utter dreadfulness of sin.

Our attitude toward sin becomes that of Joseph who fled temptation, crying out, “How could I do this great evil and sin against God?” (Genesis 39:9).

We are convicted when we become mindful of how much our sin dishonors God.

When David was convicted by the Holy Spirit, he cried out, “Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight” (Psalm 51:4). David saw his sin primarily as an affront to a holy God.

We are convicted when we become intensely aware of the wrath it exposes to our souls (Romans 1:18; Romans 2:5).

When the Philippian jailer fell at the apostles’ feet and cried, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” he was under conviction (Acts 16:30). He was certain that, without a Savior, he would die.

When the Holy Spirit convicts people of their sin, He represents the righteous judgment of God (Hebrews 4:12).

There is no appeal of this verdict. The Holy Spirit not only convicts people of sin, but He also brings them to repentance (Acts 17:30; Luke 13:5).

The Holy Spirit brings to light our relationship to God. The convicting power of the Holy Spirit opens our eyes to our sin and opens our hearts to receive His grace (Ephesians 2:8).

We praise the Lord for the conviction of sin. Without it, there could be no salvation. No one is saved apart from the Spirit’s convicting and regenerating work in the heart.

The Bible teaches that all people are by nature rebels against God and hostile to Jesus Christ. They are “dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1).

Jesus said, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him” (John 6:44). Part of that “draw” to Jesus is the conviction of sin.

It is a decision presumed to be based upon a careful and discriminating consideration of all the proofs offered, and has a legal character, the verdict being rendered either in God's judgment (Romans 3:19), or before men (John 8:46) by an appeal to their consciences in which God's law is written (Romans 2:15).

Darkness, darkness, as a symbol of sin

Darkness is often used in Scripture as a symbol of sin and its effects. It is often contrasted with light, as a symbol of forgiveness and the presence of God.

Darkness as a symbol of sinthe polar opposite to brightness, is understood as a lack of illumination or an absence of visible light. Human vision unable to distinguish color in conditions of either high brightness or darkness. In conditions with insufficient light levels, color perception ranges from achromatic to ultimately black. The day and night, light and darkness, are notable antitheses in Palestine. light deep ( Gen 1:2 ), God spoke and light came into being. Darkness and light are evocative words in Hebrew. Darkness evokes everything that is anti-God: the wicked ( Prov 2:13 ), judgment ( Exod 10:21 ), death ( Psalm 88:12 ). Light is the first of the Creator's works, manifesting the divine operation in a world that is darkness and chaos without it. While light is not itself divine, it is often used metaphorically for life ( Psalm 56:13 ), salvation ( Isa 9:2 ), the commandments ( Prov 6:23 ), and the divine presence of God ( Exod 10:23 ). In the first creative act, "God saw that the light was good" ( Gen 1:Light always involves the removal of darkness in the unfolding of biblical history and theology. The contrast of light and darkness is common to all of the words for "light"good and evil, God and evil forces, believers and unbelievers. Bible entertains no thought that darkness is equal in power to God's light. God is the absolute Sovereign who rules over the darkness and the powers of evil. and light for darkness, who put move to or place in a particular position.

bitter “Bitterness” is usually associated with anger and grudges. But is this what it means in Hebrews 12:15? “See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness, springing up, causes trouble, and by it many be defiled”? I don’t think so.word bitter means “sharp like an arrow or pungent to the taste, disagreeable; venomous.” The idea is that of the poisonous water given to the women who were suspected of committing adultery in Numbers 5:18: “The bitter water that brings a curse.” In its figurative sense, bitterness refers to a mental or emotional state that corrodes or “eats away at.” Bitterness can affect one experiencing profound grief or anything that acts on the mind in the way poison acts on the body. Bitterness is that state of mind that willfully holds on to angry feelings, ready to take offense, able to break out in anger at any momenThe foremost danger in succumbing to bitterness and allowing it to rule our hearts is that it is a spirit that refuses reconciliation. As a result, bitterness leads to wrath, which is the explosion on the outside of the feelings on the inside. Such unbridled wrath and anger often lead to “brawling,” which is the brash self-absorption of an angry person who needs to make everyone hear his grievances. Another evil brought on by bitterness is slander. As used in Ephesians 4, it is not referring to blasphemy against God or merely slander against men, but to any speech springing from anger and designed to wound or injure others.

All this then leads to a spirit of malice, which signifies evil-mindedness or feelings of intense hatred. This kind of attitude is sensual and devilish in its influences. Malice is a deliberate attempt to harm another person. Therefore, “every form of malice” must be done away with (Ephesians 4:31).

The person who is bitter is often resentful, cynical, harsh, cold, relentless, and unpleasant to be around. Any expression of these characteristics is sin against God; they are of the flesh, not of His Spirit (Galatians 5:19-21). Hebrews 12:15 warns us to “see to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.” We must always be wary of allowing “bitter roots” to grow in our hearts; such roots will cause us to fall short of the grace of God. God wills that His people live in love, joy, peace, and holiness—not in bitterness. Therefore, the believer must always watch diligently, being on guard against the dangers of bitterness.for sweet and sweet for bitter! eyes That the eye signifies the understanding is because the sight of the body corresponds to the sight of its spirit, which is the understanding; and because it corresponds, in the Word the understanding is signified by the eye in almost every place where it is mentioned, even where it is believed to be otherwise; as where the Lord says in Matthew The light of the body is the eye if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light; but if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness; if therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness (Matthew 6:22, 23; Luke 11:34).

Here the eye is the understanding, the spiritual of which is faith, as also is evident from the explication:--if therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness. So too in the same:--

If thy right eye causeth thee to stumble, pluck it out, and cast it from thee (Matthew 5:29; 18:9).

The left eye is the intellectual, but the right eye is its affection: that the right eye is to be plucked out means that the affection is to be subdued if it causes stumbling.

[3] In the same:--

Blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear (Matthew 13:16);

and in Luke:--

Jesus said to the disciples, Blessed are the eyes which see the thing which ye see (Luke 10:23).

Here by the eyes which see, intelligence and faith are signified; for their seeing the Lord, and also His miracles and works, did not make them blessed; but comprehending them with the understanding and having faith, which is seeing with the eyes; and obeying, which is hearing with the ears. That to see with the eyes is to understand, and also to have faith, may be seen above (AC 897, 2325) for the understanding is the spiritual of the sight, and faith is the spiritual of the understanding. The sight of the eye is from the light of the world, but the sight of faith is from the light of heaven. Hence it is common to speak of seeing with the understanding, and of seeing by faith. That to hear with the ear is to obey, see (AC 2542).

Definition of sabotage - deliberately destroy, damage, or obstruct (something), especially for political or military advantage.

Sabotage is a deliberate action aimed at weakening a polity, effort or organization through subversion, obstruction, disruption or destruction. One who engages in sabotage is a saboteur. Saboteurs typically try to conceal their identities because of the consequences of their actions.

Any unexplained adverse condition might be sabotage. Sabotage is sometimes called tampering, meddling, tinkering, malicious pranks, malicious hacking, a practical joke or the like to avoid needing to invoke legal and organizational requirements for addressing sabotage.

decision to decline invitations to parties where alcohol is served. Such a decision might be made in order to circumvent temptation (Romans 13:14), to avoid “every kind of evil” (1 Thessalonians 5:22), or simply to be consistent with a personal conviction (Romans 14:5).

The Bible clearly teaches that the child of God is to be separate from the world. “Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: ‘I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.’ Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord” (2 Corinthians 6:14-17; see also 1 Peter 1:14-16).

Ecclesiastical separation involves the decisions of a church concerning its ties to other organizations, based on their theology or practices. Separatism is implied in the very word “church,” which comes from the Greek word ekklesia meaning “a called-out assembly.” In Jesus’ letter to the church of Pergamum, He warned against tolerating those who taught false doctrine (Revelation 2:14-15). The church was to be separate, breaking ties with heresy. A modern example of ecclesiastical separation could be a denomination’s stance against ecumenical alliances which would unite the church with apostates.

Biblical separation does not require Christians to have no contact with unbelievers. Like Jesus, we should befriend the sinner without partaking of the sin (Luke 7:34). Paul expresses a balanced view of separatism: “I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people—not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world” (1 Corinthians 5:9-10). In other words, we are in the world, but not of it.

We are to be light to the world without allowing the world to diminish our light. “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:14-16).
