Slay in the Spirit

There are three definitions of being slain in the Spirit. (YouTube)

Being "slain in the Spirit" is indeed biblical, and I'll tell you why it is.

But before I can present the "why," I must define the "what."

I do not seek the manifestation. Rather, I seek God. And, in doing so, the manifestation is sometimes experienced. Someone being "slain in the Spirit" can occur during a spiritual encounter with God, but if someone is not "slain in the Spirit," that doesn't mean they didn't have an encounter with God.

Here is my definition: A slain in Spirit temporary, physical response to a spiritual encounter with God that involves some or much difficulty with standing on.

eing “slain in the Spirit” happens when a minister lays hands on someone, and that person collapses to the floor, supposedly overcome by the power of the Holy Spirit. Those who practice slaying in the Spirit use Bible passages that talk about people becoming “as dead” (Revelation 1:17) or of falling upon their face (Ezekiel 1:28; Daniel 8:17-18, 10:7-9). However, there are a number of contrasts between this biblical falling on one's face and the practice of being slain in the Spirit.

Revelation 1:17Revelation 1:17 New International Version (NIV)

17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.

Ezekiel 1:28 New International Version (NIV)

28 Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him.

This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking.

Daniel 8:17-18 17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the endshall be the vision.

18 Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touchedme, and set me upright.

Daniel 10:7-9 New International Version (NIV)

I, Daniel, was the only one who saw the vision; those who were with me did not see it,but such terror overwhelmed them that they fled and hid themselves. So I was left alone, gazing at this great vision; I had no strength left, my face turned deathly pale and I was helpless. Then I heard him speaking, and as I listened to him, I fell into a deep sleep, my face to the ground.

Perhaps the closest occurrence we can find in the Bible to being slain in the Spirit is where Paul the apostle fell to the ground when Jesus ...becoming “as dead” (Revelation 1:17) or of falling ...Terms such as “slain in the Spirit” and “falling under the power” are not found in the Bible. We are not aware of any Scriptures that specifically  ...

There are many different terms coined for the manifestation: slain in the Spirit, falling under the power, overwhelmed in God's presence, and others.

God is giving us further information about His person to live or continue in any God given condition or state:  to dwell in happiness.to linger over that person ,ponder in thought, speech, followed by the exsmeier and to dwell in a particular point to connect  with Him until we become Him. Having the same speech, mind thought and deed. Dwell in a  heavenly minded place amongst  the brithern where still waters  run deep embodied  in your heart mind and soul.

Like minded being transform into the image of Jesus Christ. Romans 12:2  King James Version And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

My faith is founded on the life, death, resurrection and identity of Christ. So rather than teaching that "falling under the power" is primary, I teach that it is only incidental.

Because many ask about it, I have been inspired to write a Biblical explanation and defense of the "slain in the Spirit" phenomenon

Many believe that the phenomenon is either purely psychological or, in the more extreme view, demonic in nature. I want to make it completely clear that I do not make this a priority in my ministry.

The "slain in the Spirit" manifestation is not essential to my core beliefs about Christ.

There's the genuine, there's the fake and there's the ritualistic. Don't confuse the three. The one of which I write is the genuine—I mean the one

Now, it's important to realize that there are people who fake these encounters, and, at the same time, there are people who simply allow themselves to fall in an almost ritualistic fashion.
